Isn’t it always great to have someone to pat on your back for something you have accomplished in life? It keeps you motivated and makes feel that you have achieved something significant. Such is the power of acknowledgment. Not only does it encourage to do better but also give you a sense of fulfillment. Grandma Moses, a well-known Folk artist said,
“I look back on my life like a good day’s work, it is done and I am satisfied with it.”
While it is flattering to have someone else acknowledge you for your good work, it is not at all a bad idea to take the responsibility in your own hands. It never disappoints. Praising yourself for something good you do no matter how significant or trivial is how successful people keep themselves going. You do not have to achieve something big to deserve the praise. It can be anything as little as getting to bed on time or completing all the task you planned for in a day. Giving yourself a pat on the back for such things can do wonders and give you the boost you need to stay dedicated.
It is often observed that people tend to forget their daily successes quite readily as compared to the rejections or any mishap they face. This is the case for most of us. This is because if we are asked to list down our successes and failures over the last few months, we would conveniently recount all the instances where we faced rejection or deadlock than point out our happy moments. We as creation are a bit ungrateful and have high standards for success and happiness. People who are happy and content are those who learn to acknowledge little things in life. They are not only grateful for what they have but also appreciate their daily life accomplishments no matter how trivial they may appear. It is great practice we all must inculcate in order to be happy and blissful.
When you practice positive affirmation regularly, you attract positive things in life such as success, prosperity, happiness, peace and stable relations. When you praise yourself for your good work and think of positive things happening in your life, then you surely get the law of attraction in action.
“You are a living magnet. What you attract in your life is in harmony with your dominant thoughts.”
