Strive for never ending Improvement - Nauman Khan Azeemi

Oliver Cromwell once said, “He who stops being better stops being good.” Striving for constant improvement is a rule of the thumb for successful people. Success is a continuous journey of self-improvement and betterment. Success knows no limits and is not stagnant. This is because we as humans have an innate desire to endlessly learn, grow and develop. We have a constant urge to reinvent ourselves through self-improvement in our quest to achieve self-actualization.

The famous and award winning director James Cameron said, “People call me a perfectionist, but I’m not. I’m a “rightist.” I do something until its right, and then move on to the next.” .Professionals like James are always striving to become more than what we already are. Once they yield to this inclination for continuous and never ending improvement, they lead a life of endless accomplishments and satisfaction.

Improvement is an evolutionary process rather than a radical one. It requires a person to take small incremental steps towards betterment by showing willingness to learn in all phases of life. Learning is a never ending process that starts from a person’s cradle and accompanies him till grave. Learning plays an instrumental role is the process of self-betterment.

Japan being one of the leading nations of the world in all respects strictly adheres to the philosophy of “Kaizen” known as “Never Ending Improvement”. They are constantly updating their technology, customer services, social and political systems and laws to stay abreast with the competitive world of today. Japan is a living inspiration for the entire world to emulate. It epitomizes constant self-improvement leading to growth and prosperity.

We live in a fast paced world that is subject to constant change. Change is inevitable and an inseparable part of the evolution humankind is going through. Similarly, the criteria of success is not stagnant, it involves constant strive for self-improvement and growth. That is the only way to be if you are to make a mark in anything you pursue.
